Tool Vevor Drill Bit Sharpener

Tool
None do. Just pointing to the frame behind it. It sets the width for the lip to register properly on its edge. It will never be perfect. But that doesn't stop the lip from registering properly. You know if it's right if it's parallel to the flats on the collet holder.
referenced to the arrowhead where it says web diameter

Thanks for the replies. Actually if you rotate the knob through it's full range there is about +- .125 movement in or out.Mr Pete seems to achieve this adjustment by blunting the tip on the drill to grind more off.
The only comfort with my hand sharpening is that I seem to have the degree angle right, but I could never manage to do the web thinning or whatever like this rig does. It is a pretty well done job.

So, I guess if I'm gonna get me one of those fandangled bit sharpeners, I should fill up all the empty spots in my bit sets.

So hopefully this will be the last time that I'll evero_O need to buy replacements (except the teeny tiny ones. Can't even see those!!)

Over the years I've bought 4-numbersets; 1-Letter set; 1-fraction set; assorted metric bits; a whack of bigger bits from 0.5"-1.0". And I have a big box of good quality dull bits.

Your drill stash looks a lot like mine. Different here and there but more alike than not. The oddest thing about my stash is that my very best drill bits are all in paper envelopes with the size written on the outside all standing up in a Tupperware container.

Bump

I asked for revised quote for just two motors, one for me and one for @Susquatch and the price would work out to $81.25 plus GST plus the cost of delivery to SW ON... which in this case would be me driving there so lets say $8.19 for diesel.

That will work for us both I believe.

Since there does not appear to be any other interest I'm just going to order two motors by the end of the week

The cost to order just one motor BTW direct works out to be about $95. The seller quotes everything in USD for some reason.
If you haven't pulled the trigger add me to the Motor buy list.

I'll hold off a bit longer because we are up to 4, I'll order after we hit 5 minimum.

For those outside the GTA I'll find the cheapest shipping with tracking, which is likely a prepaid box. So if we got two people in central AB who wanted one I'm sure we could ship them together to save...

Bonus, five nearly new 8mm dormer taps with every motor purchased.

Ok sign me up for a spare motor, and a great big thank you for all the research you are doing on these machines!!
I am so happy with the purchase of my B machine and have ordered the larger size collet holder and collets up to 17mm. I am in Edmonton

Is there a source for purchasing spare grinding wheels? (The standard one is what I want to have spares for)

Okay we made the five! Sorry I dont know where you're located...

I'm buying right from manufacturer, so they should be good for grinding wheels too.

I am going to buy the MR-20G wheel which is wider too, so if anyone else wants a diamond wheel if they have a 13A or wants a spare or other option maybe chime up and we could get better deal on price and shipping everything

That is about $22Cad per motor. I'm guessing those motors weigh more than 1Kg each. That shipping is pretty reasonable.

I can pull off $17Cad per kilogram pretty easy when I'm there. With a little more effort I might be able to better that. A larger shipment would bring the cost down also. I'll be in China next week, but not close enough to MRCM. I believe they are located just south of Shanghai.

I will check and see if they have a source in Shenzhen and Guangzhou.

I've been looking at wheels too so ya, count me in. I'm just not sure what I want yet. Wider is good. I'm also at that magic point in life when I don't really care how long it lasts. I don't do anywhere near what I used to do anymore and in 10 years my family will probably be getting rid of stuff. So for me it's mostly about the joy of doing things I love to do.

I want a 20G wheel also. I got some bigger drills to sharpen.

There seems to be a slight price drop on the 13A model, now available for just C$302.81. About $20 cheaper than what I paid.
