Sourcing Hand Reamers

I am also looking for reamers, but have been scared away by the bad reviews the Chinese brands seem to have.

Have you had reasonable success with a particular seller/brand? This information would be much appreciated.
WOW! I sure know how to kill a thread. :o)

Not at all, Tom's off somewhere mountain climbing.

Are you looking for hand reamers? They seem hard to find or are stupid expensive. Chucking reamers appear to be abundant and relatively inexpensive. Tom gets most of his stuff at auctions. Chucking reamers can be had on Kijiji for cheap.

Ah. That makes sense. And sounds like fun! I just get to hike them here on the Island.

I'm looking for chucking reamers, and metric it seems, because the others are stupid expensive. If I have a project that calls for a 1/2" hole, I think I'll adjust and default to 12 mm.

I'm just hoping for some guidance because I have heard a lot of the stuff (of every kind) from China is best left on the docks. I have enough other issues to overcome,I would rather not have to overcome bad tooling. At the same time, I can't afford $40 reamers!

And I was just having some fun on the previous post. Thread seemed to come to a screeching halt after I posted. No worries!

Ahhh... you have mountains on the Island?
Oh boy... below is a picture of Campbell River (where I live) from the ocean looking inland. The entire spine of the Island is mountains. Highest is Golden Hinde at 2,195 m.

Ok, nothing to sneeze at but not 6000-8000m stuff. Makes for nice scenery though, I'm jealous.
