I've sold a few bikes in the past couple of years but my fleet still includes my 08 Kawasaki ZG1400 Concours, a fantastic machine.

My 2012 Suzuki DR650 with about $2K worth of suspension upgrades is an outstanding dual sport ride.

My son has taken over the use of my 99 Buell X1 but I still get to ride it occasionally.

After many years of work my 1967 Kawasaki A7 Avenger if nearing the end of it's restoration.

It looks like you have a machine for all conditions John. I love the Buell. Always wanted one. I have a friend that has a xb9r. Fun track bike, very torquey. I'd love to eat some miles up on the Connie too. Looks comfy.
 
1989 FZR250 (JDM), 1988 FZR400, 1990 GSXR750, 2009 ZX6-R.

I have a soft spot for 80s sportbike with double round headlights.

The FZR400 and the ZX6-R is the only left. I'm in the (long) process of turning the ZX6-R back into a road legal streetfighter.

That FZR250 Japanese import was something else. 18,000 RPM redline and light as a feather. They don't make the 250s here like they did in Japan.

Spin 'er up to a buck 20, lock on the cruise control, crank the satellite radio & eat up the miles. Put >90k miles on 'er since '08. Not bad for a neck of the woods that sees a bunch of snowy winter each year. And, yes, I have rubbed the floorboards on the pavement.

And an old iron Sporty that's been bored, stroked, cam'd, carb'd, dual plugged & single-fired, ported & polished to an outstanding, wait for it, 74 cubic inches! Removed the electric start, put on a kicker & soon developed Sportster Leg, a chronic condition due to poorly adjusted valves, timing, points & spark plugs. Get those aligned, she's a one kicker. Not? Sportster Leg...

Bought a rigid frame for it years ago, always wanted to chop it. Have a Weber 40IDF I've always wanted to mount on 'er, as well.

Edit: For those who don't know Hawgs, FLHTCUI, ElectraGlide Ultra.

My first bike was a 1947 BSA Bantam 125. And it went on for years to a pan head chopper in the 70's Most older guys around here have converted to trikes. Funny, you start off learning in 3 wheels and end on 3 wheels.:rolleyes:

I sat on an NS400R in the showroom.... Couldn't get my knees inside the fairing... Home market Japanese bikes were pretty interesting, considering the performance ratio to insurance costs (low, due to smaller displacements). But when you are 6foot1, not so much...

Ran a '75 Norton 850 for a bunch of years, wish I still had that one. Got a Canadian Forces surplus Kawi KLR 250 Dispatch Rider's bike, sitting in the yard, and a project 1969/1970 Triumph Bonneville project buried in the shed.

The curse of the tall guy……..6‘-4” makes it even more challenging. I found a VF1000 that fits OK.

I look like a Shriner in a parade on my S.O.’s 600 Ninja when I have to test run it. It’s high for her :rolleyes:

Yeah, honestly, the only issue I have had was that he parts guy at the dealer seems to think ALL KLR's are 650's!

Just found out, as a result of looking around for a suitable picture to steal as representative of the type, that there were only about 75 of these made for the Canadian Forces! Nice!

My brother in law was a licensed Auto Dealer in Alberta, when a half dozen of these went on the block at a Dealer-Only auction, that was where he got it from.
 
This is roughly what my Yamaha YA6 looked like without the girl. Rebuilt the engine and transmission. Paint job and chrome weren't as nice either. Electric start, auto-lube 2 cycle engine.
