Ya I just imagine heading down into the weeds and snapping off a few 3 foot 3/4" "stalks" of cold rolled rod and maybe some angle iron if its in season and head back to the truck. I have spent some time down in that area and lots of great people and except for the million mile and hour driving I really enjoyed my time down there. I am always joking around life is too short to be too serious maybe I will become a stand up comic when I retire
Well my Noga arm and my dial indicator have arrived and I am happy with both, thanks to @Canadium for the Noga suggestion its going to be a lot less frustration with it it works great. I bought an accusize gauge and am happy with size of numbers and the ability to read them. In the end if your checking run out or concentricity you are looking for the least needle movement.
