Obviously your dog doesn’t have you well trained: you’re not placing the pad where they need it!I haven't tried them for this purpose, but I can say that they don't work for the advertised one. I'm sure they would, but that doesn't help when the dog goes a foot off to the side

mbond’s dog obviously knows the pads cost $$. Why dirty a nice clean pad when the floor beside it can easily be wiped up…
Just take care to fasten the loose ends securely so the pad doesn’t get sucked into the chuck/work; like @Mcgyver I use magnets, positioning them under the bed to minimize them attracting steel dust/filings.I’ve been using some of those silicon rubber cookie sheet pads under the chuck and work piece. They work well and can be washed off with solvents if necessary. But I can see that they’re not as easy to remove without spilling the contents as the pee pads would be.
