SWO with new to me CX708

here she is! got it moved into place and shop cleaned up a bit. itll suit my needs much better than the wee one. bitter sweet - didnt realize this was belt driven until i go there. not a make or break it obviously. just sucks. super tight. the auto cross feed is super nice and will get used a lot.

A belt drive lathe runs smother than a gear drive. A gear drive will always leave shadows on the work. At least that what my gunsmith friend told me when I bought one like your's . Bill is damm good machinist, so I believe him. However in my case, that was hot worms. But it did mean a belt change.
