Something off with Vevor

$27 seems to be their go-to amount as that what they gave me for my missing enclosure keys.

As a counter point to @skippyelwell's lousy experience, I have bought numerous items from Vevor:
8" HV rotary table: arrived in perfect condition and is a fine piece of kit.
Variable speed mag drill: also arrived in perfect condition
24" x 24" all metal enclosure: arrived with a tear in the box which allowed the keys to escape but no damage to the enclosure.

I think the key is the carrier. I have never had good luck with UPS.

+1 I've purchased numerous items from Vevor and never had issues like this. UPS is another matter. Damaged/torn shipping boxes, exorbitant fees, and deliveries to the wrong address all par for the course.

I bought a 6x12" magnetic chuck directly from Vevor. It had a damaged corner and a couple of scratches. I complained and they quickly offered me a credit = to 5% of the purchase price. The functionality of the chuck was fine, the damage was cosmetic but that was not what I paid for. Lots of emails back and forth. I asked for a minimum cash settlement of 20%. Finally settled on a 10% cash back to my credit card. I just gave up (or caved in). It wasn't worth the hassle to continue. That is their plan.

Previously (to above) I bought an ultrasonic parts cleaner directly from Vevor. No issues.
I think something bulky and light (parts cleaner) compared to a small but heavy item (motor or chuck) is problematic for the way they sort and handle packages.

I'm thinking about getting the Vevor bit sharpener (like the one recently discussed on the Forum) - likely no issues with shipping since it is not big or heavy.
Also was thinking about a Vevor magdrill. It's $250 & a great deal direct from Vevor. The exact same drill from Amazon is $490 + 67 delivery (even for Amazon Prime there is delivery on some items)- for that difference, I think direct from Vevor is well worth the risk.

Link to item with delivery? It's likely not shipped by amazon if it doesn't come with free shipping with prime. I've had free delivery on some insane things, including items that have arrived freight like my 56" SPG International tool box lol

I have purchased both the drill sharpener and a mag drill from Vevor directly and they were well packed in thick cardboard and formed foam packing.

Thanks, good to know it was well-packaged.
Are you happy with the magdrill? I was thinking about the 1550W, 2" dia, 12800N model. I have annular cutters so no need to buy a package with cutters.

Like others, I've generally been happy with my Vevor purchases. I did have a major go around on a shipment that had probably been damaged by UPS. It took over 6 weeks, but eventually Vevor sent me the replacement parts. It shouldn't be like that.

Me too, everything I have purchased from them has arrived fast and undamaged, very pleased with their service and I told them so.

I talked to Visa this morning, gave them all of the details, they said they can't intervene until Feb.13th when they will give me a full refund, but on Feb. 12th I should email Vevor one last time to see if he'll come clean.
I got a response from him this morning offering me $87 and a broken motor as compensation.
Anyone want to take bets on what his final offer will be?

Me too, but they have 1000's of suppliers. Great stuff in one genre does mean the next item will be any good, they don't seem to have much QA (any surprise there?). The electrical enclosures I've bought were really good, first class. But their stainless laundry tubs?.

1st pic is the Moen part I bought at HD to get the job done. Second pic is of the threads on the Vevor part as the sink arrived. I submitted these photos with an explanation and am told they would be sent to "engineering" for review. A week or two later, engineers suggests I don't know how to screw in a thread," was I going the right direction?" or "was I cross threading it?". You stupid @#$@@, I sent you the photo showing there are no threads to cross thread - that was worse than the crap part.

Because it was such an ungainly item, just getting it apart and to the carrier would be a royal pita .... so I settle for like $40. But don't start thinking they're stuff is quality ....keep it to it might be :)

That was direct, since I've gone through amazon.

Moen thread

Vevor thread, and after submitting the photos, engineering had the gall to suggest I might not know to screw the parts together

Just make sure your not comparing Vevor product to a well known name brand. Very likely that Vevor product is the same as another Asian retailer of the good but I've had two items from Vevor that looked basically identical to well known name brands and also with same specifications to end up being knock off copy cat versions that WERE NOT the same products.

I am ashamed to say I have not used the mag drill yet, other than a quick test to make sure it worked. I had planned to drill holes for clamps in my welding table top, but have not finalized on my design yet, so I have held off.

I bought this mag drill.

VEVOR Magnetic Drill, 1100W 1.57" Boring Diameter, 2697lbf/12000N Portable Electric Mag Drill Press with 7 Bits

I believe @David has a mag drill from vevor and likes his.

Vevor flogs stuff from various manufacturers and some of them think quality control is something you need to prevent. And some of them are great. Most Vevor brand stuff can be purchased from Amazon, a good American co.:p for a few dollars more, and their return policy is flawless and very simple.

I had an experience once with a company that would not honor what they claimed to. Admittedly, it was a smallish, local company - this might not work with UPS or Vevor but you have nothing to lose if the other channels don't pan out.

I made it very clear to them that that the cost of making good their promises to me was very, very tiny compared to the business they would lose when I trumpeted their behavior widely on all the major social media platforms. They folded quite quickly.
