Looks like I have a project for when my new printer arrives on Tuesday!
Heck, I’m delaying. I could start today but I’m knee deep in the CNC enclosure. Should have machine movement today! Can't you wait a few weeks before pumping out stuff like that? I'm losing faith in you. We need a major crash or something.
I think maybe the answer is a dedicated sub-forum where folks can link to their files hosted on the many stl sharing sites.I'm thinking about trying to keep up with the Jones, and Davids, and Dabblers. I've been looking at the Snapmaker J1s IDEX machine. The Marathon interested me for a bit, but they have some bugs to kill.
And looking at these designs people have posted here, I can see a whole lot of stuff that I need.
Would it make sense for the Forum to have a site where the .STF file could be posted like they do for the plasma gang? Stealing someones design is the sincerest form of flattery, I think.
A sub forum would help with organizing 3d specific posts. I think having the files on thingiverse and or printables, or one of the other sites is a better option. The forum doesn’t have to deal with any file hosting issues. Just my 2 cents.I think maybe the answer is a dedicated sub-forum where folks can link to their files hosted on the many stl sharing sites.
Happy to take feedback on this from folks.
