Time for an update.....I decided to go with the King KC-20VS-2 from KBC. KBC was great to work with. I had my friend with a shipping company pick it and bring it into my front hallway and we put on a rolling flatbed dolly. I removed the crate and unbolted it from the skid. My son and I tried to lift it - got it 1 inch off the skid and said "Nope". So I took the head off, carried it down to the basement - wasn't too heavy at all - maybe 60-70 pounds. Then removed the entire table - that was a little heavier (approx 80 pounds) - brought that down stairs too. Finally the base with the column. That weighed even more - probably in the 125-135 range - we carefully carried it down and placed it up on its new home. Overall, very successful, no trips falls, splinters, dropped parts, or pulled muscles
Well I'll let you know tomorrow how my back feels....
I'll post pics of our adventure bringing down to the workshop and the final setup.
Now I need to look for a decent milling vise. I was reading the other thread on milling vises. Lots of choices out there, but not a lot of inventory. Might go with the KBC brand vice or the vevor\accu-lock. Anyone know of any good deals on 4" milling vises?
