We managed to get the house sold quickly, new owners taking possession Wednesday and we will move on July 29.

I also, to my great surprise, found a local moving company willing to move the machinery as long as I could get it loaded.

The only hiccup is that we are technically homeless and I need to rebuild the 4l80 transmission for our RV. Hopefully we find a rental or a suitable home to buy soon…

Well I hope ya don’t have to rebuild it in a tent outside the parts store.

When my truck broke down on the 407 in Toronto, my son wanted to tow it to the parking lot at Princess Auto so could fix it there ourselves. My wife and both Vetoed that plan. Good thing, it was held up at the dealership for weeks waiting for parts. Not a great place for a summer vaca camping in a PA Parking Lot.

So how does that work? They take possession this Wed, but you don't move till July 29? You swing some kinda deal for them to keep your stuff for you till then?

@Susquatch It was part of the conditions that we negotiated, they own the house but we get to stay until the end of July for free.

Sweet deal! Congrats on pulling that one off! I hope everything to go comes off that well too!

Especially the tranny!
