Large Milwaukee Milling machine - $800, BC

I'm thinking it might not be too hard to get in the basement. Large crane, set it on the floor in the main living area. Poof it's in the basement.

You could cut a hole in the floor, build a dancefloor on Perry poles, skate the machine onto the dance floor, pop a hole in the roof to drop the block through, pick up the machine, disassemble the dance floor, drop the machine in the basement, bam done

Bonus the mobile crane could lift the machine off the trailer for you as well, 2 birds, 1 stone

I think I could convince my wife of this plan no problem :D

There's a bunch of machinery like , that tossed out in the weather where I used to work , in Beiseker .

Kinda sad and I kinda get it , an example of what goes on in todays throw away society .

I've been thinking of this more....not only do you get a mill in the basement, you can bask in the natural light of your new skylight, and brag to all of your friends that your basement now has a loft!

This idea gets better every minute :D

One of the movers that was trying to quote the removal of Bert's equipment from his basement seriously floated the idea of digging a hole through the patio (a concrete slab), and removing the basement wall. then they'd use a big forklift to take each piece directly up out of that pit. -- oh and charge 19K$, Digging and restoration costs were outside the realm of the quote - but that would take another 20K
