Deal terminated due to wife freaking out and not ever wanting to sell - Holy Shizzle sticks - a sign on your lawn for 4 months is not a clue???? Idiots!!
I've actually been here. Give them 48 hours and have your realtor reach out again. She's known and approved, and only freaked out when it got real.
Now, there might be other shennanigans (some of which I've dealt with as well), but if it's face value, I think you still have a good shot at it.

@David_R8 : ADVENTURE is awesome!!!

But: some advice to the men out there -
TALK TO YOUR WIFE FFS!!!

Deal terminated due to wife freaking out and not ever wanting to sell - Holy Shizzle sticks - a sign on your lawn for 4 months is not a clue???? Idiots!!

Anyway, maybe they will divorce and he can sell the place. Bloody idiots and wasted a lot of peoples time and effort - argh!

@trlvn : hold off on that no move help. We will let you know in the future if you can be unavailable. LOL

Almost had that happen the other way around. Made several offers on the place we are in now that the wife agreed to. At the last minute before making another offer she got cold feet and changed her mind about buying. Thankfully the kids turned her around again. Now she loves the place.

Rule #1 - women are allowed to change their minds as often as they want about anything and everything.

Rule #2 - men are not allowed to change a woman's mind.

Rule #3 - a wise man changes his mind often - but only if she let's him.

Edit - basically the above supports what @PaulL said. Give her 24 hrs. She is a woman after all.

Hey @PaulL - I think it is done. If they come back and say they are on for it, I will drop the offer by 100k and let them figure it out. We saw the place twice and they have several issues that need to be fixed. The guy was willing to do things - has lots of projects. The wife actually talked sales with my wife??? No clue - no clue at all

@Susquatch : thanks for the thoughts - the woman had 4 to 5 months to change her mind, at this point - she is a nut bar if a for sale sign on the lawn is just a “suggestion”

I’m still down to help move things

I’m gonna stay well clear of any women vs men comments

Besides, @Brent H i like your wife, she’s a great lady, maybe a braver man than me will supersede that comment

But not this lad :D

Yup, this is my next best option @Susquatch
Canadian-made, somewhat local to me on the mainland. I've had one before and they work well. Spendy things though at $455 USD/$600 CDN delivered.
I need to think about this more as I was also hoping to store my motorcycle lift in the shed. Just getting the bike out doesn't really gain me a whole lot.
Blast.

I got this 6x10' for the backyard a month ago as a temporary solution to store my expanding amount of stuff while I figure out a proper bullt-shed down the road in a few years, maybe. It was only 230$ shipped from PA . Pretty good for the price but it's designed to be stacked on soil not concrete. They sell bigger sizes for cars too.

Look at all that open yard waiting for a nice shop!

Small update. I ordered a Bike Barn. With any luck it will ship tomorrow.
I figured out that I can store my bike lift vertically using some blocks and tackle to hoist it up.

I'm on a 9980' sq ft pie lot in Calgary SE. Years ago (2007?) I built what was the largest garage I could build within the City 'rules' without going the development permit route. 28x28 (74m^2 with 10' walls). My drawings were all self done on sketchup with a minimal amount of detail. Zero issues with city planning and permitting. Garage package from Totem Lumber at teh time was 6K and the concrete was 4K. Finishing the interior, insulating, relocating my electrical service to the garage and upgrading to a 200a service(house is a subservice from shop main panel), etc etc was another say 7-8k. Best money I ever spent. I can imagine what that package would cost me today...
