Frackin Time Change

Who the eff is getting up at 5 or 6 or 7am on a Sunday?

I rolled out of bed at 10:30 new time, 11:30 old time...it was great!

For the record though, if we adapt only one time, it better be daylight savings...light in the evening is WAY better than early in the morning.
Thats nothing! Some of us old farts have trouble sleeping. Personally I can't sleep more than 3 or 4 hours at a time. I go to bed at 9PM and I'm up by 1 or 2 in the morning . Have my breakfast at 4AM and go back to bed at 5AM for another 1 or 2 hours of sleep if I'm lucky.

I seem to live and sleep on a roller coaster. Sometimes I sleep. Sometimes I don't.

Coffee maker is ALWAYS set for 6am. But sometimes I get out of bed at 3am and press go.

Boy that sounds familiar! I'm doing a pinch better than you tho, a decent night of sleep will get up to 5 hours (often with help of pain killers) but if I get any extra after breakfast sleep it's only 1 hour max. I've told my wife if it ever appears I'm having a really good sleep and sleeping in, I'm not likely to be waking up.

Personally, I hate the whole idea. Nothing changes but everything changes. Make no sense to me at all and never did.

Ontario has already agreed to ditch it but only if Quebec and New York go first. (or some such silly BS).
Yet another symptom of the decision paralysis mode in North American governments at all levels. Always hiding behind something as a reason not to act.

B.C. had a "how did the public feel"about doing away with time change some years ago, the short take -- because there would be a time difference between B.C. and major trading partners was not done away with. Seems they didn't and don't know there are different time zones around the world. They did not SEEM to take public feeling? into account .
As to sleeping, I am now using a c pap machine, border line sleep apnea, oxygen levels dropping below 85% and stopping breathing many times per hour (no signs of a pillow being used) and a lot of snoring. Using the machine, snoring stopped, not as tired after getting up, sleep more, generly, up once a nite to drain the bladder. Oxy levels up to low 90's now.
Turns out, lower oxy levels while sleeping generly cause heart stress, which causes an acid to form in the blood, which causes the kidneys to work harder removing it to the bladder, filling it sooner/faster, resulting in more drains per nite. I think I got all this rite!

I’ve worked the Nightwatch pretty much my whole life and usually crash about 4am and wait for the mind to shut the H*ll up waking around 1130/noon.
it boggles my mind how sitting at the boob tube a stupid Commercial comes on and you close your eyes tilting the head to the right listening for the show to continue only to find it is now over.

Someday the rest of the countrywill join SK. and not screw around with the time change.
I remember late June bush parties the sun coming up always driving home in the daylight funny I used to go to bed at 4 or 5am and now its the polar opposite. I follow the sun for my wake up as no blinds or clock in the room and its amazing in the spring and summer I go to bed at 11pm and up by 4:30-5 and never tired but I try and get a lot of early morning sun seems to help with energy. I try and adjust in the 2 weeks coming up to time change just altering in whatever direction to ease the actual change and for me it helps but this time of year is always tough with less sun and less outdoor time. I remember the first fall we lived in Ontario the family was not happy with the pre 5pm darkness and having to change compared to Sask.
