D1-6 5C Collet Chuck $100 Kelowna, BC

Is it by any chance D1-6?

Yes it is. All my collet chucks are D1-6.

Mounted on the lathe:

I bought 2 large collet chucks from a guy in Burnaby in June, along with a set of collets for each. The large one has a capacity of 2 1/4" -(possibly a 2 1/2" collet would fit) with 14 collets and the small one a 1 1/2" collet max with around 20 collets

I am more familiar with 5C system and have a nice set of collets for that, so The price was very attractive. All of these are D1-6, and will fit my LeBlond.

I'm considering selling one of them - I might have one too many!

Guessing the large one is a Traub? I've got one, I think the same chuck. Collets are A60 size ....... up to 60mm or 2 5/16. Collets still available, quite reasonable from these guys. What is the smaller one? My main go to are 2J's on my big lathe, love 'em....that extra capacity over 5C's, up to 1.375", seems to be just what is need so much of the time.

Thank you! the seller knew that both systems were still available, but couldn't remember any of the details. He was selling everything in his shop due to a stroke, and the massive memory loss that resulted. He almost-kinda knew a bunch of stuff, but couldn't machine any more.

I was putting off finding out what the systems were, lower priority than much of my life this year!
