BusyBee tool -- what inserts?

Thanks for the leads--I had thought that the Carbide Depot prices were per box. Kinda hurts when the price goes up by 10X!!

I almost hate to ask but...are these inserts good for threading? They ought to be a more precise 60 degrees than I'm likely to achieve with hand grinding. I suspect the corner radius is too large for really small threads (20+ tpi?) but I'm not sure.

threading tools and inserts from bangood are very cheap, cheap enough to make a lot of mistakes withe and not worry!

Triangle is 60 degrees. One of the tools in the cheap BB set is set with point straight up and can be used for threading.

Here you need to make sure the land created by the insert is not too big - i.e. The inserts cannot be super sharp point nor vary flat. Most small inserts are in between so they work great for most threads.

Just order off aliexpress with your CC. I've never had a problem and as Tom points the prices are waaaay less. It's the same stuff that busy bee buys and marks it up 10x.

Just ordered 10pc TCMT110208 on Amazon for $20 with free shipping. Will be interesting to see what I get and when.

BB price is $25 for 3o_O

Two weeks in transit but they did show up.

Fit my holder perfectly. Haven't had a chance to test drive as I'm setup for boring right now. The rounder tip looks promising though.
