Busy Bee Mill, B314, $2,000 - Georgetown

On the other hand when selling on Kijiji it seems standard practice is for people to offer 50-75% of asking so it seems like half the listings start 25-50% higher than they expect to get.
I find Kijiji a lot like eBay: a lot of the sellers have recto-cranial inversion. Sure, there are people with realistic expectations, but there are others who think everything they have listed is gold-pressed latinum.

Don't recall anyone saying it was a "30".
Well, there was a couple references to "30's" on the first page and to a lot of newbys, a column mill is a column mill , not knowing there are a couple or 3 different models so I was just commenting to clarify for some one that might not know the difference...size does make a difference to some people Im told.

Capitalism and greed need to have boundaries. People being exploitive needs to punctuated with simply not buying what they are selling. Can you imagine if only after you developed heart disease the medication you needed went up by 2000%… free market economy…some would say. My profession affords me the ability to cause enormous loss to parties in a vulnerable state, however thank goodness for ethics and provincial oversight so that this type of thing is squashed when someone tries it. Kijiji greed is no different than large corporate greed. Call out the (toilet paper type) folks that are trying to be exploitive on the used market. Mills generally are not classic cars, I cannot recall what mill Smokey and the Bandit used…lol.

Last week I ordered a Baileigh mill as the used market is wacko. They threw in a ton of bits and bots and it ended up costing me 50% more than the 40 +y/o product out there.

Do you have a link to what you ordered?

What is the ETA?

A full report on arrival is usually eagerly anticipated around here....

They have boundaries. It's called the free market. Charge too much, nobody buys. Charge too much used, people will buy new and vice-versa.

As to your heart medication example, it's a false equivalence. That medication is covered by copyright or patent or whatever (a form of protectionism, which is not the free market) because no pharma company invests billions into research without it. If it was the free market, when pharma company A raised their price to $2000/dose, then pharma companies B, C & D would gear up & sell it for less.
