Basement Workshops Uninsurable??

No worries about going a little off topic. I know what I'm doing now.
I find accounts from others about dealing with insurance interesting.
I've always felt that the insurance industry as a whole is a scam on a gigantic level.
They sell a product that you legally have to buy to drive your vehicle , or get a mortgage. They charge whatever they like ( no real oversight on the public's behalf) and will fight tooth and nail to not pay out a claim. Isn't too hard to have a successful business with that sort of business model in place.
My thoughts,
Ken
