Basement machine shop? Pros and Cons...

I find a magnetic broom really helps cut down on the tracking of chips if your cutting iron.
I’ve been planing to get a doormat to scuff the soles on to cut chip transference down as I check my shoes but the son walks on without.

Yycmh Craig - No, I'd just started setting up slowly in my garage when the opportunity to use this room in the basement came up.
All this things listed in my last post are going to be done to my new workshop in the basement.
Sorry, I tend to get long winded with my typing. I try to explain in detail, but that makes for a long post.
