Hmm I'd have to find the model in question. I remember evaluating in slicer under magnification but now did I even print that test example or stop there? I'm pretty sure related to circles or arcs. Maybe these counterbores on the angled plane? Leave it with me for a bit. And you know, I started to mess with plate orientation around the same time so maybe that factored into it & I was attributing to file .STL vs .STEP format. Momma always said 'only change one variable at a time' (unless you're trying to ram a new drug into market LOL)
Maybe since you raised the point - are there standard models like Benchy boat in .STL & .STEP where you could print both & see any physical difference? I'm still noob-ing way through this stuff & could be off base.. And now this is different than some of the other references I read
I'm still trying to locate why I said what I did about potentially better prints with STEP. It was within a flurry of YouTubing, Googling & Bambu Studio forum perusing. I think I hear STEP has the 'potential' to improve (and contains other parameters not relevant to printing). But whether it really does print better is what the (good) question still is. I 'think' it was when I was zooming on my raised text issue in slicer that the new popup appeared for STEP. Now I can't recall if I diddled settings & zoomed into verify it looked better. I didn't take a screen grab or if I did, now deleted. The popup does suggest higher quality transformations at the expense of print time, but....??? So lets call it an STL vs STEP 'draw' for now unless better information is provided.
