Control signals (proximity switches) Maybe 22ga?What gauge wire? Are they control signals or power lines?
Oh good idea. I have some Cat 5 but it's pretty stiff.A shielded network cable would do for that. Any of the local computer stores should have some, at cost I don't know.
That's what I'm using on my VFD for control lines but I don't have enough extra to spare.
Link to suitable Digi-Key cable?Digikey.ca has all kinds of different cables. They also have live on-line Canadians working from home to help you find what you need.
Link to suitable Digi-Key cable?
Very quick D-K search yielded choices at about $4 per foot + $8 delivery + tax.
I would never use a solid conductor cable on a machine . It will fail when flexed repeatedly.Alarm wire?
Probably available at HomeDespot or other such.

I'll have a look in the scrap bin at work. There is usually some two conductor in there and sometimes 3 conductor. Twisted together to eliminate interference and insulated with teflon. It's leftovers from wiring aircraft so its really good quality.I need about 20 ft of 3-conductor shielded flexible wire for my proximity switches. Other than Amazon does anyone have a good source?

Is the cable you have meant for a backbone installation?I have some Cat 5 but it's pretty stiff
