Government surplus auction? I've gotten some interesting stuff from Canadian Space Agency. ;)

My big question is, what do you think that cost to purchase new?
 
There's been one for sale in Montreal for a while, I imagine operating costs are quite high.

That kind of looks like my power supply setting by a hydraulic power pack, all setting near my old computer. But maybe it's a early generation electron magnifying glass.

You do like a guy I knew did, and open your big mouth with a starting bid to get an auction going, only to end up owning the lot! :P

In his case, it was a half dozen emus, which he got for one dollar! Cost him a whackload in upkeep and feed over the following years, but he refused to just do them in and be done, as, he said, it was a constant reminder, to "Keep my bloody mouth shut!" whenever an auction lot came up that was dragging along at the speed of smell or less....
