If you want a 1000+ pound, large as it gets bench top, have a look at Modern Tool’s MD45. It takes up only a bit more space than a mid weight machine but is so much more solid. IMO it beats King or BB. I looked for a used machine for many months. Used is a crap shoot but yes there are winners. I had several bad experiences trying for a good used machine deal. New is “lots” more $ but comes with “lots” more confidence.

Thanks for the reply, I have also been looking for an older brand name milling machine, but I’ll check out the Modern Tools machine.
