Worm gear reducer/gearbox

Rumor has it that this gear reducer was used on a very large commercial door opener. It has a reduction ratio of 54:1. The motor mount is an integral part of the casting. Very smooth operation with little backlash. I used it with a variable speed DC motor to wind magnetic coils for a piece of oilfield equipment. That project has ended and I am trying to clean up my shop. A bargain at $100, but you have to get it out of my basement. It weighs 100 lbs. Steel rule shown is 24 inches long. Basement has easily accessed external stairs. Sherwood Park, Alberta.
