I've been kicking this thing around for about a decade. I've googled it many times, and once again tonight to no avail.

Any ideas? Looks to be a bending jig of some sort, and I'd guess is missing a fence/guide/arm. Could be a little useful as is, but I've always been curious......

I have similar tools that are not all in one big chunk. The center piece is configured the same as an old JD sickle section repair tool, also have another tool with the upright teeth to take apart and repair old style chain links. the other stuff isn't familiar.

Just saw this. Missed my hero moment. LOL.

I have a much smaller one for repairing the chain on a manure spreader. Found it in my fields plowing. The different sized fingers are a dead giveaway. I'll post a photo when I get out to the shop later today.

Question for those who've used one. Is mine missing any parts? Any links to how they are used?
Not much too them they simply hold the sickle tooth section (as seen in the ebay link) and the middle section hold the sickle bar for pounding out the rivets (the hole) and for hammering in new rivets (the divet) I don't know what the slots on the end are for as the one I remember using did not have that feature if recall correctly.

Awesome David, Thank you. Not at all what I would have guessed.

I figured it some trade specific bending jig of some sort, but could never quite figure out which one lol. Now I know.

This ad shows a bit more.

Does anybody has a use for one?
I have a use for one. I had the pleasure of pounding out the rivets on my John Deere sickle mower this summer...... I could have benefitted from that.
