this should be interesting...This thread is all about my foray into the world of Fusion 3D from the perspective of an old CAD guy learning a new program.
More posts will be added shortly.
I'm thinking of moving all that stumbling around that I did on your thread to here. It just pollutes your original thread with my stupidity. Are you ok with that? You got this!

No worries either wayI'm thinking of moving all that stumbling around that I did on your thread to here. It just pollutes your original thread with my stupidity. Are you ok with that?
Do you mean interesting or entertaining?
Hopefully both. I love learning new things and I love a good laugh on myself too!
It looks like you’re extruding sketches. For some reason, Fusion joined four of them into one.
Adding to this when extruding you can join, cut, or make a new body. Also you can go back and edit the extrude in the time line - in the bottom - and change the extrude to create a new body. You can override this behaviour in the extrude options.
For example here is a back in time extrude edit.
dont fret, you can split your model into two bodies somewhat easily without going back in the history, under the modify tab you use "split body
what program do you use for the screen capture of fusion?hit finish sketch, then extrude your new shape, one of the options is "new body" instead of join or cut in the extrude menu
i have also been able to replicate your problem, im pretty sure i understand what you were doing, and have found 2 solutions...the split lines need to connect, i dont know why, they just do
