Treadmill motor and controller wanted. (Calgary)

There is this place in Bowness which has salvaged stuff. I've never been there and only heard of it hearsay... can anybody relate more?

I have the motor but not a controller. Janger, there is a 1800 got junk in Bowness, I believe this could be what you refer to? Their lot looks like a scrap yard ... Behind the old totem (Rona) I'm passing by right now so here is a photo. Right next door in the same building is a welding shop.

I have located a treadmill sitting in someone's front yard. Under the snow. It's been there a couple years I think. If you want to go see it's in Ramsay. I can be more specific if you're still looking.

Janger,

I'm still looking and I am interested. I'm heading out of the country on Tuesday, back after the 28th. I will message you when I get back.
Thank you for keeping an eye out for me.

I found it on google street view! Haha that's funny. I'll send you a note Perry...

Not for long.......lol. My trip has been pushed back a week. I'm going to drive by tomorrow and knock on their door or leave them a note.

Thank you again for taking the time to keep your eyes out for me. I will keep you guys updated on how this project progresses.

Perry

The hilarity of someone leaving a dilapidated old treadmill out in the snow for literally years (which is by itself funny), then seen parallel is general excitement from @Perry to grab it for parts.

I never got around to checking on this treadmill. I missed the extreme cold week you guys had here in Calgary when I was away. I returned to the spring weather and spring fever has bitten me. I want a new motorcycle.

I spent a little time re-evaluating my equipment and decided I could do will out this unit. I have three milling machines already (2 CNC) Before posting this to Ebay I figured I would give the guys here a shot at it first. (And save myself some hassle of trying to ship 100+ pounds of cast iron.

This is a small Dixi mill. (I hold back from calling it a jig borer, but that is how I have found it described.) It is high quality. Comes with the original 220V 50 Hz motor and mount. It uses Levin Type "D" collets.

If you are intersted, I started purchasing items for this project. I have 13 fractional collects, and 12 feet of watch makers drive belting.

Pricing is difficult. I only found one of these on ebay in the completed section and it was in very poor condition. It sold for $2500 US. This unit is in very good condition.
If you are interested, lets talk. I'm willing to deal to save shipping this.

Here area few photos. If you need more, please let me know.

Wow. Its cool but what the heck is it. Im going to start googling how it works. Have you found a video of one in action?

Sorry for the slow reply.

It is a small Dixi vertical mill. It would most likely have been used in a factory. Probably an instrument or watchmaking type shop. Very high quality.

I haven't looked for a video, but I will see if I can find one.

A horizontal type showed up on ebay. Little bit different style, but same company. Item 391607817115

Edit
I just found another old ad on EBAY of one very similar to this one.
