Hello All,
I am looking for a 24" to 36" Stroke Shaper or a smaller planer. I am located in Ontario.
Any info would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Gary

Welcome aboard from Lillooet BC.
Boy, you sure like the big ones huh! A small planer and the space to house it are on my wishlist as well......
What toys do you have in your shop? We love pictures around these parts.

Thanks Don,
I have quite a few conventional machine tools. I can definitely post some pictures in time. I have an Elliot 14" Stroke Shaper and it has been very useful. I am looking for a larger machine because I keep on running out of table space a travel. I know there must be a few big lads out in the world still somewhere....
Gary

My Douglass 22” is still available.

Gonna say as well that martins is an absolute steal of a deal. Just going to add that much smaller units are going for more then Martins.

I see largish shapers come up with some regularity - but I'm way out on the west coast. Here's one that's been advertised for a while, size (and condition) not mentioned, and trying to sell as part of a package, but maybe as an example, if you subtract the value of the other items... https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1214550429823316/

Most hobbyists are looking in the 6-10" size, and the shops that are not CNC have dumped them for milling machines. so the larger sizes can often be had for not too much. And they still make new ones in India!
