Scammers love to use grizzly machines and there are really not that many in Canada. That and this is a $3000 lathe all day in Hamilton

I invested the time and corresponded 30+ times back and forth with questions about the lathe. Wasted a fair bit of his time. You would think they would spot a scammer, being a scammer. But they are so hopeful they are willing to overlook some obvious things.

One question I asked, saying it would be a deal-breaker, was whether the spindle had ever been “spun”. He assured me it hadn’t. When I asked if it would fit in the back of my Honda CRV he thought a trailer would be a better idea.

Then I reported him to Facebook.
