“Sajo UF52 - Horizontal Milling machine, needs significant repairs to finish it and make workable.

3ph 208v input power. Recently replaced all fuses with breakers. Can provide cheap VFD in addition if needed.

Worth several hundred in scrap, buyer must have equipment to remove. Currently on a pallet.”

For the right person, maybe a fantastic deal. I like that he was up front about its state, but yes, some specifics about what’s wrong might have saved him and others time.

It has not been run in 4 years.

It needs a new start/stop button, new gibs, mechanical cleanup. Coolant cleanup.

No links or part numbers. Not sure if old gibs are still with the machine to use as reference. I'm tempted if my friend will let me use his space. I could leave this set up to make dixon tool holders.

Surely you've spent $150 on worse.....run!

.... back in the day it was a start to a good night out (I think).... And a few terrible mornings..... What is it now? A carton of smokes? Someone must have quit that needs a little reward.....
Really I'm just jealous, because that thing would be sold in AB before it made it onto this site...

I’d still be wary. Some gibs, start/stop button and clean up doesn’t sound like “needs significant repairs”.
But, there’ve been a few amazing deals reported here recently. Maybe my distrust is why I never land those great deals!

FFS, this is now $100 bucks.

Now I have no choice but to assure this gets into good hands. Trying to work out logistics of a move when friend is going into surgery and our normal tow vehicle is still having issues to the point I wont trust it with moving 2000 pound mill.

I expect this is 2000 pounds. Hopefully not much more than that.

To my eyes it looks a little small to be a standard UF52, but if it is, assume close to 3500 lbs.
I can't get a good consistent weight estimate since many are listed with the full accessory count and the vertical milling head attachment..

To my eye this looks like the PF52. I'll have to go have a look before the day of a move

I've confirmed that this is too heavy for our gantry crane. That means it requires a paid tilting flat bed delivery. My friend decided not to take this based on that level of commitment.

If anyone wanted this for the cost of a tow truck they can have it because Jaime offered it to us for free. Including the VFD.

I suspect every scrapper he spoke with wanted money to haul it away

I’m sure you know this, but a dodge I’ve used for heavier machines is to hire a tow truck with adequate boom capacity to lift off delivery truck or my trailer and place on ground beside my shop. Safer and in my case much cheaper than a tilt bed or hydraulic deck delivery truck. Also cheaper for me than renting a bigger capacity forklift.

yeah we know all the options.

my friend just decided that with already owning a bridgeport, and his hectic schedule that it is best to pass. I hope this gets rescued from the knackers
