Russian Deckel FP1 “clone” Caledon, ON

I wouldn’t call it a deal at $2800 but it’s an interesting machine nonetheless.

Caught my eye and I looked into it, appears to be a Soviet made machine very similar but not identical to a Deckel FP1. Notably both horizontal and vertical spindles are MT4.

If the power feeds are working it is a steal. It is not unusual to see a stripped gear in the ram (Y) or the table (Z) power feeds on *real* Deckel machines.

If it is just working as a mill with manual feeds, it is still prolly a better investment than a lower end offshore mill for more money.

Oh.... those Russians :)
The writing on the wall behind the mill, Those numbers and suspiciously eastern European!

Funney story I went on Google to try and find some info on my mill I got a way while back last year or so and it led me to here , I was shocked to see my mill posted here ! I got it for 800 $! Glad i didnt pay 2800 for it . I took a year restoring it mostly because I was hesitant to get started . She's getting wired up this weekend , had to buy a new mortor and vfd for her to get her running in my garage. They wer still runing her right till the second I picked her up in Toronto
