Glorious old iron. If I lived on Vancouver Island I’d be in the car right now.

Maybe @140mower could trade the owner four 8mm taps for this?

Ok, I got no Facebook for complicated "I work in tech and I can't stand that ****" reasons. Someone hook me up to the seller?

I have seen lots of these drills sell at farm auctions for 5 or 10 bucks. I gave one to a young guy setting up a forge outfit, kept the drill bits that fit it though. I hated the one we had, saw lots that had a pulley added so it could be driven with electric motor.

I had a sales demonstration of a similar machine in a county shop I was working in one time...dude drilled a 1/4" hole in a D8 cat final drive bearing race by hand cranking & feeding the bit. There were a dozen very experienced mechanics in that shop that were astounded
The bit was one of our jobber bits ( good quality but just an ordinary bit) and the bearing was a fresh removal from a cat on our floor so he hadnt messed with the heat treatment in any way.
