I'm curious how that dimension would be the deciding factor to if it would fit or not as that is the portion which overhangs the compound

Edit: I see now the lathe is smaller then I thought

I just picked it up. It's a little too big for the lathe I have but I have a couple ideas how to get it to work. Once I mount it I will have around 2 inches of space to work with, so it will do what I need it to do. I guess I have to buy a bigger lathe now ;)
