The scales for these are pretty available, I know a guy in Regina that may be able to supply used, if you grab this... But check with the seller.
The scales are a simple Carbon Fiber tube, with a stack of precision ball bearings within, spring loaded on one end. Really easy to cut down, not so easy to splice longer (LOL!)
This is the kind of deal I usually watch for, IMO, as the retail on the C-80 DRO set is well outside casual 'hobby' considerations, but this one comes cheaper than about the nastiest of Import grade DRO's...
