Hello,
I have been slowly collecting a few machining items over the years and finally started setting up my shop, hopefully to be able to start making chips over the winter. I have done a bit of machining in the past, but years between and very basic stuff, and all just with trial and (mostly) error. It was a nice surprise to find this forum, and hope to learn some things as I get set up. I tend to collect quite a bit of antique junk machinery at auctions and such, and what little machining I have done has been handy for repairs on old tractors and such where parts are long unavailable.
I just got my mill set up on stand today, after years of sitting on a pallet buried at the back of the sheet metal fab shop where I work. It was a pleasant surprise to find this forum, I was already able to answer a few of my questions from previous threads.

Welcome from Lillooet BC. Your story sounds eerily like many of us that haunt the halls of the forum.
Don't forget the pictures, Neanderthals like me don't read so well. :p
