New Vevor is under $300. Symbols are the same. Look is the same.
You can get Vertex brand new rotary table for about $450 USD new after quick search.

I do not see this as a deal at all.

$679 USD
$684
$799

Increasing the price because they had too much interest and realized they listed it too low....dick move guaranteed to not get my money.

Is Vertex the same as the vevor/ali imports now? Are they coming from the same place, and just rebranding for more $$? They look identical. The dividing heads anyway.

Vertex are made in Taiwan. Vevor et al are not.

Who knows where Vevor is made. Bottom line is they have same symbols and look identical. They could be for all we know made in the same factory with different badge.

I would get Vevor and give it a try. If it does not meet your requirements just return it. You can also buy through Amazon for ultimate safety - returns are guaranteed if you are not 100% satisfied.

See my post about cheap 2 x 4 x 6 blocks that came out perfect.

I would like to see someone compare Vertex and Vevor side by side - I am 95% sure side by side you would not see any difference. I would not pay for "new" Vertex more than 250. I simply do not see this as better than Vevor.

Vertex is not exactly a "brand name" stuff - this is not a rotary table made by "SIP, Hauser, Pratt & Whitney, Troyke" or similar or anything "optical" etc. This is basic stuff.

Note I had few Vortex and Vevor style rotary tables - I currently have one in 8" size and I also have 12" size non tilting rotary table I believe its made in Japan but have to check. I have taken few of the "Vevor" / "Vortex" / assorted China / Taiwan (also China BTW) rotary apart and never seen any "difference".

Yes Taiwan is technically China but the generally accepted wisdom is that machine products from Taiwan tend to be better quality.

Yes Taiwan is technically China .

I dont think that is necessarily true. I am given to understand that the rest of the world is avoiding a discussion of that but never formally agreed to that after the 2nd world war. China itself thinks Taiwan is part of China but Taiwan itself doesn't agree. And Taiwan is heavily armed to prevent a hostile Chinese take-over. The people of Taiwan consider themselves to be an independent country with their own elected government. In many ways it's similar to the Ukraine and Russia situation. The world is deliberately trying to avoid a conflict but I'd guess that a conflict is inevitable. Hopefully not in my lifetime.

I'm not expressing an opinion, or getting political. I'm just pointing out that it is a debatable situation that very much depends on your point of view.

Beware, there is Chinese labelled Vertex which is not of the same quality as 'pretty good stuff' Vertex you may have come across past 20 years or so. I can't say if its cloning or outsourcing or factory takeover, but for sure there are different standards out there which makes it hard to distinguish.
