Need a Dro what one to get

The chart seems to indicate Free for UPS WordWide Express. @David_R8 was your welder delivered UPS Standard?
Yes it was standard. I believe because of it's size and 80 lb weight. Also maybe because the vendor gave me a percentage discount that equalled shipping so they didn't want to take a complete bath on the machine. They later spent $200+ getting me a replacement when the original went AWOL for a month. All in they probably paid $375 in shipping costs...

yeah. I paid dearly for not insisting on my vendors stay away from UPS. My last costly experience was terrible. I recieved one shipment since then (by mistake) from UPS, but cleared it myself and avoided the fee. but it cost me 1/2 day to do it.

I ordered a new y axis screw for my mill - $45 UPS shipping, then I got an email stating it would be an additional $135 in charges for the item and I was to pay that before delivery. The $135 included Duty (it should have been zero on parts) taxes on the $140 item, brokerage fees and some other UPS fee.

I could broker myself and save charges - except the local customs office closed and is now a 2 hour drive into Toronto hell - so I phoned UPS and said I would have to refuse the delivery and explained that a total of $175 in shipping costs is ridiculous for a $135 item only 1 hour over the border. I also notified the seller and explained what
Was going on.

UPS dropped their fees down to what I expect was the tax and a broker fee. I accepted the charges which I still felt was a complete rip - however, about a month after my discussions with UPS I received 2 refunds for UPS that would have reduced my total “shipping cost” to the original $45. I didn’t receive any explanation, just the refund.

another one to be wary of is DHL - they like to play the same “extra charges” game when the package arrives.

To be delivered tomorrow????????

Crap..... we will be OOT starting Sun for 5 days.

I don't know about that. Look at @thriller007 's tracking. It left China one day and shows in CA the day before. Mine could very well show up in customs today.
@thriller007's shipped DHL if I'm reading this correctly. Yours is UPS. I'll be very surprised if UPS is that quick. My recent experience with UPS was that they are completely overwhelmed.
But it would be great if it hit the ground in Canada today.

Well 1/2 of it is in Calgary now......
