A few weeks back I believe it was Kelly posted,

The post discussed the possibilities of using it to make a collet chuck holder for a SB 9 like mine, and I think JustaDB mentioned one from Accusize that had a MT3 mount. To him the down side was the need for a drawbar but to me that's not really an issue.
So I ordered one and landed it on the door step for $90. It appears well made and nicely finished. I made a quick and dirty drawbar, chucked up an end mill and measured a couple of 10ths runout without any cleaning or clocking. Quite happy.

Now that you have that, you can take all the measurements and make your own that allows you to pass material through the headstock. I took all of the pertinent information from the er chuck and spindle nose and came up with this.

Yes...... It was a good weekend project, and I use it frequently.

That was my original plan but I can't cut metric, yet, and standard ER nuts are metric. Also the spindle on the SB is pretty small anyway so this should be good for small parts. When I get the Colchester going I'll rig up a pass through for it.

I made a thread on ER32 chuck for my old imperial southbend. I played a mix and match game with the gears and got within about 1% of the metric threads. Works great.

I got off lucky, I bought a bunch of South Bend parts and a complete set of transposing gears and a metric thread dial were included. The thread dial however I believe is for s metric leadscrew, which I also have and the gear box..... I don't think the transposing gears had ever been used.....
