Bought this new years ago from a dealer where it was orphaned. Perhaps the lathe buyer figured he would never use it. I believe it is from an Eastern European maker. I was going to make a hydraulic tracing tool, but never got to it. It is unusual in that it has two slides, one parallel to the lathe axis and the second rotating one to set the taper. The adjusting knob for the taper is one minute of arc per division. The parallel (bottom) slide has a travel of 13 inches and the taper slide 11 inches, so it can do very long tapers. Both slides have adjustable gibs, the bottom one is tapered and the top one parallel. Both slides have molded way wipers. There may be other applications for heavy duty slides. I am asking $200.
