IF you live in BC interior there is an auction with a few potential deals going off tomorrow, but you need to be mindful of the 20% buyers premiums and taxes.

Why it may be a deal, this is a glass jar and bottle printing facility auction, may be under the radar for many people. If you covet all things Mitutoyo this may be for you.

If you're not picky the same auction has a no name plate 2 ft by 2ft by 3, They call it a grade plate for some reason.

Shame to see that surface plate uncovered. I bet that used to be some of "my stuff" that got moved to Universal when the O-I glass plant was shut down. (I was the QA Manager at O-I for a number years ...)

I'll see how it goes, looks like 4 others are watching the plate soo who knows how it will go.
I have seen many 24x36 surface plates at auction go for just a couple hundred bucks. I wish you luck on it and the height gauge. One of the watchers is me, and I'm not bidding....

Ye I'm ok with it comes to like 240$ after taxes 20% auction fee. I went and saw it in person and bullshitted with the plants operations manager. It basiclly just used to check heights occasionally. It looks like brand new in person so I'm pretty stoked to get it.

Also bought some other random stuff for shop as there was few tools that I got for 5$ or less so I got few random benchs too for nothing basically.

Only other big things I bought were pallet Jack for 125$ and 9 wheel dollies for 100$ so should be interesting lol

Maybe the ops manager said they have had it for over 15 years. But I think the glass plants been gone bit longer then that now lol.
