Metal lathe toolpost REDUCED TO HALF PRICE, $49, Norfolk County, ON

Every time I used a lathe equipped with a four way tool post, I ended up with new scars from the hack marks in the back of my hands!

Just saying, not a fan.

But... Can't beat the price, if it works for ya!

If it has the base, it is a great deal. It appears to be and Enco indexing turret,. I have one, and they are fantastic!. It has to come with the base (which is round and has 24 ball bearings in it. They index every 15 degrees.

On my lathes I use the 4-way tool post most often, even though I have Aloris and Dixon and clones of them.

Not the Enco. Looks shop made, so non-indexing AFAIK. Still worth 40$ if someone wants to learn how to use a 4-way for quick use...

I've never used a multifix, but I really like 4-way TPs, even in the light of having genuine Aloris and Rapide (Dixon) tool posts as well....

They have their place don't they. Sometimes I look at my horde of BXA tool holders and wish I could have spent that money on something more valuable.

Someone should buy this. I have an Enco 4-way and they are superb. This appears to be one. It would clean up well. If I were within 1 hour's drive I'd buy it, clean it up and give it to a deserving person.
