Swarf wouldn't be an issue if you just used them on aluminum.I'm wondering from those who have them, the pros and cons of magnetic lathe chucks.
They don't seem very common. I first saw one used by YouTuber Stefan Gotteswinter.
I'd think swarf would cling to them something awful and hinder their use?

Sorry, that could be confusing....I said projects I WOULD want the FEATURES of a magnetic chuck NOT that I could be able to do it.Ok, you got me wondering....
How do you work on aluminium or brass with a magnetic chuck......?
