Tips/Techniques Looking for an inside (interior, backside?) deburring tool.

The issue I'm trying to address is the burr created when a smaller diameter drill breaks through smaller diameter walled metal, say, tubing, a bushing, pipe or hollow structural steel. I've tried using files, both flat & rat tail, along the interior, but often I find I'm just chasing the burr back into the drilled hole, then out again.

I seem to recall Blondihacks mentioning something about this somewhere, but a search has proved fruitless.

What does everybody else use?

TIA.

I think Noga still does a version of the Cogsdill flip cut 4A3132F8-8324-4600-AB3C-59C09660C70E.webp

If you mean these 'backside' chamfering tools, Noga calls theirs reversible countersinks. Yes, you put it through the hole, the blade wings out, deburr, then exit the way you enetered.

Thx, Aliva. I've never ordered from aliexpress before. This may be a worthy first try.

First try eh......

Try not to give up too easily.

It will all make great sense after a bottle of yellow pills, a full flask of whiskey, or a long argument with the wife about all the 1000 times she says you screwed up.

You can also post screen shots here and we will try to explain why 6mm is a different colour than 12mm or how you can get it on sale by buying something else you don't want instead......

You can go to "The Yard" aviation supply company and look for an in and out deburring tool. Depending on how small of a hole you need to deburr they might be suitable. They often have some interesting surplus tools.
