Lead Screw Covers

No, but I have seen folks do it. With some retrofit models you lose a bit of Z-axis travel as the spiral cover accordions together. Probably not an issue unless you use collets mounted in the spindle (carriage has to move a lot closer to the HS to reach in vs using a chuck).

I ordered mine through busybee tools for my lathe. I got a part number somewhere and gave it to them to order, they couldn't seem to help me find the part number themselves. I don't remember where I got the part number from.
I love the covers, the teeny bit of carriage travel loss hasn't been a problem for me yet.

I was looking through some old posts and found this there is no reason they won’t work over a threaded rod.
