Most definitely. I’m looking at work holding option as I progress down the CNC route.Nice features though.
I just checked and it appears that my last purchase was in 2018!!! from Saunders Machine Works, 4 for us$51.96. I ordered other stuff at the time and I didn't shop around for the best price. I believe that Shars has them.I have the D40 as well and agree with the above comments.
@kstrauss - when and where did you get your mitee-bites? Are you okay to share the cost?

Ding ding dingI have a real Kurt D40 so perhaps I can help. The jaws extend slightly above the top of the vise body so they can be used to grip something (minimal grip height) even when the jaws are reversed. In my case I replace the usual jaws with ones with Mitee-Bite Talon Grips (https://www.miteebite.com/products/talongrip/) on their tops.
Thats for the vise jaws themselves with 4 grips; Amazon US has them for a lot less:Holy crap those are expensive!
James made his own jaws & grips:Making the holder is trivial: just an aluminum jaw with a top slot about 0.502 wide and 0.175 deep with four (or more) 10-32 tapped holes centred in the slot. I try to keep everything in normal so I use the 10-32 screws rather than metric ones.
