Kurt repair kit

I ordered a kit for my vise directly from Kurt. Shipping was expensive though. I was ordering some other parts as well at the time. The shipping would likely be cost prohibitive if that is all that you need.

Might be cheapest to just bring the parts into a local bearing shop and see if you can find replacements.

That makes a lot of sense, thrust bearing is a few $ to my door from Aliexpress, I can make the plastic plug and the washers should be fine. That's assuming the bearing needs replacement might be fine, still waiting for delivery of the actual vise.

I have purchased plenty from that vendor, but in this case to save $50.

I see... I live less then 20 KM from their Oldcastle outlet. You are mainly talking about the cost of shipping.... I pay no shipping since I go and pickup at their location. I have to go today in fact... but I also am going to pick up other things in Windsor... so its no fuel only for them.

No I mean KBC. They start at about $25 shipping now (Purolator). Used to be $9 or something. I don't think they have a minimum purchase amount. They have a min $499 purchase amount for free shipping, subject to weight restrictions

OK, that is more or less what I meant. $25 shipping for some small bearings and seals seems too much for me. You made it sound inexpensive. Then again, I'm in Ontario.

But I am like @Aburg Rapid Prototype, there is a store between me and Windsor. So unless I am doing a big enough order to get free shipping, I pickup at the store.

KBC charges a minimum amount for shipping ~$25 from recent experience. This used to be ~$9. Free shipping only kicks in with $499 purchase value. Hope this reads clearer now.
