Tips/Techniques Knurling on a flat surface

Not sure that I would attempt this, but pretty ingenious for sure.

Interesting idea! I would just use a shaper to do a pass at 45 degree with some step x2.

It's more like "how to make your own bastard file" but the use and adapters for the compound feed interested me.

Hard to believe that shaft doesn't bend away from the work enough to ruin the knurling.

I can imagine the 1000 iterations back and forth on the saddle getting old real fast.
