Good Day All! I am a retired high school teacher. Subjects were Manufacturing/machine shop, Technological Design, and CNC machining. Trained as a Tool and Die maker oh so long ago. Had dark hair then. I have a small machine shop/wood shop. Now I do what I want, when I want to. Right now I am putting a 78 Jeep Cj7 back together after replacing a frame. Putting in a hydraulic clutch mechanism and improving/repairing other parts. Too many interests and not enough time for all of them, but what else is new. Thanks for letting me in.

welcome.

You will find that there are several members down your way.

Welcome from Vancouver Island. You'll be in good company here, lots of cars guys and cnc types.

Was the Jeep framed rusted out? A short while ago I did a frame swap, rusted, on a 2004 Tacoma so I have a good idea of what you're into.

Welcome Sir!

I am an hour East of you on the lake south of Chatham. There are a few others around here but not enough to be a problem.

I am a retired engineer now growing rocks on a downright beautiful farm.

I started machining and wood working the hard way 50 years ago. Mostly metal working now cuz farm stuff is always breaking and new stuff costs too much.

I'm a very happy very active old man. Nice to have another neighbour on board.

Welcome from the other side of T.O.

Sounds like you'll fit in around here, and there are a few other guys from down your way. We all have too many interests, and never enough time.

Welcome from Ottawa. I tried numerous clutch actuating mechanisms on my hot rod, bell-crank, cable and finally hydraulic. Hydraulic was definitely the best of the three.

Back in the day I had a Mcloud clutch on my 57 chev the clutch fork was a rod 5/16 I think that use to need straightened every couple months due to the spring pressure or the Muncie 3 speed would click its gear mesh.

Welcome aboard and enjoy the ride. It is a fun group.
There is no better ambassador for the Forum than Susquatch and lucky you - he is in your neck of the woods.
