I was having trouble with my wifi speed in my basement office. I'm a FT WFH guy and spend much of my days on video conf. calls so fast wifi is required.
I had a TP-Link wifi extender and it worked ok but I decided to order a Rogers wifi pod.
It arrived yesterday. Completely painless setup.
The manual said it would take 48-72 hrs to optimize the setings.
Speed comparison:
Without extender: 30-40 Mbps
With TP-Link extender: 60-80 Mbps
With Rogers wifi pod:

I explored all the extenders and powerlines and finally went with MoCA adapters. It uses the coaxial lines throughout the house and I never have to worry about wireless interferences. They are 60USD for a pair of adapters on Ebay US and for me worth every penny.

I didn't know coax adapters were a thing.

Which ones did you get?

Might be a good option for a wifi mesh backhaul.

I have four FRONTIER FCA252 MoCa 2.5 from Ebay from two different sellers. They go in and out of stock from different stores but all sorts of different sellers will have them. If a seller has them for sale for more than 60USD and has Best Offer, they'll take the 60USD. Buying a single is usually 35USD but you'll want at least a pair to start. You can also get similar adapters locally but they seem to be double the price last time I checked. I just grabbed them on my annual US travels.

In short the first MoCa adapter at the modem will "push" internet throughout the entire coax infrastructure. You just need another exact adapter at each terminal to recieve the internet. I use wireless for printers, TVs and phones. But my main computers and server runs through the MoCa setup.

The PoE filter prevents backflow of your internet out into the the neigborhood, that's if you get internet through coax. I just upgraded to fiber this year so don't need the PoE filter anymore.

You also want to make sure your splitters have the proper Mhz range, but that's an easy few bucks.
