Is this a 3D printing subject?

3D printed some Cherry Pit removers because Lee Valley Tools wants $25 for one. Then Linda and I quickly de-pitted a bunch of cherries. All in a canning jar with brandy. Now the hard part. Waiting 2 or 3 months...

Very cool. Stuff like that is a great use for a printer. I should print a couple for next year. Our cherry trees we planted finally went off this year, and we had a pile of them. Didn't do anything but eat them though. He who cuts the grass, gets to make multiple passes past the trees and pick all the cherries :D

Practical everyday stuff is where 3d printers can excel. One of the first things I ever printed was a replacement part for our tomato press. We process a lot of tomatoes and a part of the the paddle went out with the pulp into the compost pile. Found it the next year but am still using the printed part.
