Wondering if anyone has had a compressor tank hydrostatic tested.
I have an older Speedaire 20 gallon compressor that I bought used several years back. I've used it to spray with my HVLP gun but not much else.
Thinking of getting it tested for peace of mind so it doesn't grenade in my shop.

Found a pressure test pump. I think I'll give it a go.

I should do this too. I have had my compressor for quit a long time. Bought it new a way back and used it off and on ever since. I have never noticed any rust in the water when drained. It actually doesn't make much water, just a bit of oil in the air when I drain it. It used to drip oil from the bottom of the tank and it took me a while to figure out where it was coming from. Meanwhile it had me concerned thinking there may be tiny hole somewhere in the tank. I finally found it, the sight gauge in the compressor crankcase was slightly loose and the oil was seeping out and down to the bottom of the tank.
